Though I haven't driven either, I think I would go with the GT3 because I think we get more of "racecar" feel from it.

Are we talking about the 997 GT3 RS version? If so then, I'd still go for the GTR (though the 997 GT3 RS comes close).

If the choice was between the latest version of the GT2, then I might have a harder time choosing though :P

Just my two cents

GTR for me. Who cares that it's a Nissan. It's still the boss!
Cocaine White with Red interior please.

What's the statistics on tranny issues for the GTR? I keep "hearing" tranny issues but see no stats yet I see 800hp GTR's running around on those trannies.

GT3 top choice by far, but it must have a Porsche warranty.

There are 800HP R35 GT-Rs running around on the stock tranny? That is news to me. All the 800HP GT-Rs so far I've seen have had modified and strengthened transmissions.

On looks alone, GT3.

On performance, either one.

I wrote that wrong and I'm not surprised you jumped on it. Either way I was asking for stats on failures of stock trannies.

Agreed. It's all just parroting internet chatter at this point.

GT-3, hands down. It's much more of a 'drivers car' than the GTR. There's something to be said for that.
