Hyundai:The New Lexus Competitor
I never thought I would say this about a hyundai but that car looks amazing! Specially the interior, it looks elegent. But I think before I can fully judge it I would want to test drive it and see how it handles and feels. I would also wait a year or two just to see how reliable it is.
Other than that I really like this car and I appluad Hyundai for making one good looking car.The Others Are Overpriced, and Hyundai sees merit in offering consumers actual value.
What A Concept!
Great Job Hyundai

I won't merge but we have many threads on the Equus. I think its a great vehicle on paper and completely embarrass Lincoln, Acura, Infiniti, Saab and others who claim to be luxury brands but don't have a true flagship.
Hyundai will only continue to get better.

My first Lexus was a pre-owned 93 LS400. I traded it when it had over 90K miles and without a single problem during my ownership. A new Hyundai Genesis 4.6 is over $40K. I would get a pre-owned low mileage LS430 instead of a new Hyundai. In addition, Hyundai is still no Lexus

Not trying to rip on these guys but unless they have a VERY competitive price, I don't see why people should buy a copycat over a BMW, MB, Audi or Lexus.

I think we have gobe thru of this already in another thread, every single aspect of that Hyundai is a copycat of some other car. That is why it is so cheap, they save on design cost.

I gotta agree... those wheels are a blatant copy off Bentley Continental GT wheels... and those tails look like they are off a Yaris....and that center dash looks like the old gen RX330....and you can go on and on and on.....

I think Hyundai is making excellent progress, but they need to catch up to Toyota first in the perception of most people still.
I know most car enthusiasts here recognize it, I still have doubts even people on this forum would "seriously" consider a Hyundai over a Toyota and pull the trigger on one. Any owners here jump from Toyota to Hyundai yet?

same was said about the ls400 back in 1989, it was a close "copy" of the s class to certain extend. to me if that's how a company start and emerge, i am ok. but if it's another 5 yrs and hyundai is still copying and not able to bring out their own style, characters, and innovations, then imho it's a problem

Hyundai is doing a good job in the development of their cars. Now they have to get quality of SALES & SERVICE dept. The dealerships here in the NE area are sub par at best.
Just noticing the side view shot. The Equus has a long rear end (butt) after the rear wheels. big asre. hhhmmm. more trunk space?

^^Even if the design ques were *exactly* the same, (which they aren't) it doesn't mean Hyundai gets them for free. Hyundai still has to design the car themselves. As close as it might look to several other cars, the design doesn't come free. Hyundai is saving no money my mimicking the look of other cars. Hyundai, BTW, is not the only car company that does this. I don't know why so many people dish on Hyundai for it.
