For me its night and day because the S5 handling was just unbearable for me. The car is beautiful but its not very exciting at all. The handling is not very responsive and steering feel is way to light. Even the 335 handle much better than S5. I don't know how many of the people who thought I was crazy for wanting to get out of the S5 actually drove that car, but I assume if they do they would understand where I'm coming from.

since i own the m3 and have driven both the s5 and 335, and from your posts i think i know what kind of performance spirited driving you looking for. and in that sense, yup, the s5 can't really fit your needs. the s5 performance wise is in the 335 category, while it's not bad at all for most people, it's still different when you put it side by side with cars like m and amg

well i hope i am "explaining" your needs correctly

To answer the original question. The coilovers will improve handling and road fell, while sway bars will improve handling and make the steering feel more direct

For the most part, just that I think the 335 coupe actually handles pretty good (and much better than the S5).

It does.. I've driven both The 09 335's are more expensive than the 07 & 08 versions. Heck, the 335i coupe with the bells & whistles is touching 60k minus M sport pack. (M3 prices). The vert is even more.. M3 basic is $55k.. Configure them here to see the prices as built http://www.bmwusa.com/Default.aspx

The Audi S5 is a pretty car but does not have the drive to match the looks.

have you had coilovers? coilovers give a HUGE improvement in steering precision too. sways decrease body roll for sure, but so do coilovers as well.

it's all incremental improvements, but IMO coilovers are a WAY bigger improvement than sway bars.
