I'm not completely sold on the looks of the car, but it's not bad overall. It definitely seems to have a little more excitement baked into it than the new Civics do (SI's excluded of course )

I went to check it out today... It is a pretty interesting car. I am just not a fan of the plastic that they used inside the car, they could have made it look more luxurious a-la VW.
I was actually surprised it has 15.5 cu.ft of cargo space, which is similar to the new VW Jetta.

One thing I left out yesterday, the brakes on this car are so tiny. If I do get the Veloster, I wonder if I can change the brakes for larger ones too something like on a base Genesis coupe One thing I truly dislike about this car, the spare tire is one of those small *** ones Honestly in this day and age, you should get a full-size.

are you kidding? almost all cars come with the small donuts, and a growing number of cars are coming with no spare at all. i don't see the big deal. why carry around the weight of a full size spare and tire?

I took it for a test drive today. It has an interesting ride / feel to it. The seats are quite comfortable, just not a fan of the seat fabric though. It was fun playing with the DCT, it is quite smooth. I bet the Turbo version will be fun to drive.
One thing looking through the rear-view mirror to look out the back, the back window being split is a pain in the ***. I wonder if there is a way to bypass the back up camera and turn it on while driving.

First Spy Shots of Hyundai's Facelifted 2015 Veloster
Hyundai is preparing to refresh the Veloster as it nears the mid-point of its life-cycle, and this is the first prototype we've seen of the car, spied at the Korean firm's R&D center in Germany.
The twin-exhaust pipes, rear diffuser, low profile wheels (with newly designed alloys) and side skirts, all point to this model being the Turbo, but other than that, there's not much else we can see under the extensive wrap that hides all the details of the facelift.
That said, and without having any information (yet), we can only speculate to as what changes it will bring to the 2015 Veloster and which could include the usual revisions on both ends of the car as well as the interior with styling and equipment updates, and perhaps tweaks to the chassis and engine range.
We'll keep you posted and let you know if we find out more.
