Clear coating painted interior pieces?
Not sure which forum this goes in but.....
I changed my interior from beige and tan to black and vampire brothel maroon. I have a TON of pieces to paint. I did some research on the topic and using an automotive clearcoat on the last step was an important part of the process. Does anyone have or has anyone had a car with painted clearcoated interior pieces? Did it last? If not how long did it last for? I've seen 2 year old chevys with painted parts with no clear and they are peeling and look terrible. Conversely i've seen them in perfect shape. I imagine that each time you push a button you are just polishing the clearcoat in a way. If anyone can help me out it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I'm not talking about the big pieces here, I have buttons and AC surround and glove box latch, that kind of stuff...
