Lexus is lucky they still got some strong sellers in the RX/ES and the CT has been a hit while the older models sell. The IS is holding on well, the SC is gone, the GS/LS are older, the LX is niche, that leaves what a GX which sells around 1200 or so a month and the HS which has been a flop.

Next year don't expect any miracles either, the GS will be new but the IS/LS will still be pushing on and the ES debuts in the fall. That leaves SUVs and the CT to do the dirty work.

Lexus was selling at a rate NEVER SEEN BEFORE in the history of luxury brands. I mean they were selling 30,000 units a year and outselling many non-luxury brands. It seems the pace for these brands (BMW/Benz/Lexus) might be around 18-22k a month on average.
i think Lexus/Toyota are trying to fight off perception that they have no cars to sell... it seems to have to hurt them more than recalls.

So, I emailed a salesmen at Longo Lexus, I asked him about the specials they got for December to Remember.

He said:

For the CT200h Premium with MSRP of $32,464, the special is $1,500 out of the pocket, and $421.29 for 36 months, with 10k miles a year.

I told him that I read somewhere about the CT200h having a special of $309 a month?

He responded:

That is for the IS250 with $3,499 due at signing not including drive offs.

The CT200h nation program is $369 not including tax plus $2,999 due at signing not including drive offs.

The offer I'm giving you is for $1,500 out of pocket (including drive offs) for $421 including tax, which is a better off.

Let me know what you think.

^So, those are the specials.

The better deal he was offering me would've been $16,656 in 3 years ($1,500 down, and $15,156 worth of payments for 3 years).
The nation deal would've been $17,746 ($3,300 down, and $14,446 worth of payments for 3 years).

Basically saving me about $1,090.

The IS special sounds better though, cheaper at least.

Whatever you do, don't chose the type of car based on the deal or money. Buy the car that is right for you and your needs. Then, work out the best deal for that car (one comes before the other). Remember, it's the car you will be driving every day, not the deal itself.
And as far as getting the best deal, don't limit yourself to one dealer. Prices always fall lower when you force multiple dealers to compete against each other. Email several in your area and see who will go the lowest on the car of your choice.

My girlfriend will most likely be picking up a 2012 IS250 F-Sport this afternoon(starfire pearl on black)...we've been given an initial quote of $472 month, $0-down for 48-months (12k miles) and based off an MSRP of $39,800. TMV on edmunds has this vehicle selling for about $37,500...if we are within the $430 range, we more than likely will sign on the deal.

the CT deal sound very tempting as well...i am seriously considering it! :/
