Default Edmunds/Truck Trend: TRD supercharged Tundra

htxp://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Followup/articleId=133948?tid=edmunds.il.home.photopanel..3.*#2

At our test track, the 2008 Toyota Tundra dispatched 60 mph in 5.1 seconds (4.7 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip) and elbowed its way through the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 103.8 mph. This performance slices a half-second out of the performance of the erstwhile Dodge SRT10 Ram. You know, the one powered by a Viper V10 engine.
wow, Toyota builds a truck faster then all its cars except the IS-F.

http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/...res_specs.html

Code:
0-60 mph 4.4 sec
1/4 mile 13.0sec @ 106.3mph

a lot

$5,875 MSRP on the kit
it's cheaper at Champion Toyota:
$5,319.00
then 8-10hr install

you'd obviously want at least a cat-back exhaust probably a bit more but there goes the warranty. I'm not sure what the TRD exhaust consists of.

I love forced induction. What Im loving more is the fact that toyota is finally rearing its performance head. I hope they develop this side more on their vehicles so that they will have total global dominance. great cars, great price, great quality, great reputation

impressive

I wish/hope F sport descide to go the force induction route for Lexus, Its sad that TRD is developing all these roots type blowers for similar Toyota Engines while Lexus doesnt offer any real performance upgrades for its "sporty" sedan.

Come on Lex, get ur schit together. Id buy a blower for an IS350 over an IS-F anyday ( i know, i know im probably the only one)

MT did their own test. This is absurd, Toyota sells a truck that'll spank and IS350

I was checking out the SC options for the FJ and it is crazy where is takes these trucks in zero to 60 times.
