I got it for MSRP, which was a little under $60k. Lease is mid to high $900's, 36 months, 12k miles/yr, with 59% residual, including 8.375% NYC sales tax.
I think most places will give you MSRP on factory orders. Unclaimed in-stock S5's were getting $2k-$10k premium this summer, but I'm not sure about now. My friend was at the Manhattan Audi dealership and he saw a guy walk in, hand over a check for MSRP + $10k, and drive out in his new S5. My friend ended up paying $2k over at another dealership back in July.

All I am saying is that if you are going to show off your car, at least take decent pictures. I like the car, no doubt, but those are least convincing pictures of it. I mean if I wanted to see an S5 I could just google it.

I just posted my car cover for sale in the Classifieds. Please check it out if interested!

Ya, I don't see how you could get the S5 for under MSRP... I was glad the dealership didn't try to charge me more than that. Some people are asking the dealership to sign something when they order stating that they won't attempt to charge > MSRP when the car is delivered...
You are certainly welcome to Google for S5 photos if you consider mine to be inadequate. If I'm looking for advice about how to photograph my car, I will ask for it.
That is the plan, for now...

sounds like you got a good deal. the audi dealer i was at recently said that they are only able to get S5's through ordering and that they will not go under msrp cuz people will pay it. they are near msrp also for the a5, they only had one at the dealership that wasnt pre-sold or had a deposit on it. damn nice car though.
That is the plan, for now...

Awesome idea! I wonder how early you will need to pre-order... When I got my S5 a guy's R8 was there. He had ordered it 2 yrs ago. He had gotten married, moved away, and had a kid since then... But still came back to get the car.

the rs5, i will see. it's a car i'd consider, but i kind of don't like the idea of ordering the car and then wait a year, even if the deposits are refundable. just don't like the idea of waiting and waiting. maybe i would get something else and go back to rs5 when it's "available"?
just a thought
for now, looking at all the s5 pics would do

It does. But most of my driving is city or freeway, and the Tip has gotten good reviews... Manual mode is pretty good for "spirited" driving. Also, you have to pay gas guzzler on the manual, because the mileage is worse, but you don't have to on the Tip!
