Bump...
I recently experienced this vehicle again and it truly is one of my favorite sleepers. I think its a great combo of looks, space, fun and since its now a used vehicle and been around I can forgive the interior. The seats are great!!!
The VQ really pulls in this light car. Reminds me a lot of a 95 or so Maxima SE but faster and better looking.

I have driven the Altima SE-R as well and I agree with ytour review. I am happy to hear people praise the power and torque of Nissan 3.5 l VQ35de. In what ever version look drive it will be solid. The VQ35DE raised the bar for entry level luxury sports sedans in 2002 when the G35 was released. I only wish they would make the altima and the maxima RWD

Thanks for the bump and the update. I have always liked the Altima SE-R's dash.....the 3 round gauges in the middle, of course, give it the flair of the 350Z/370Z sports car, without the 350Z's otherwise-cheapness inside (the 370Z, of course, is a major improvement).
Did this car have the CVT....or was that before the Altima line started using them? In the picture, there's a dark shadow over the shift pattern, and you can't tell.
