2010 RX Spied
please oh please, move the shifter between driver and passenger and not at the bottom of the console!
should be interesting a high powered hybrid
RX (306 hp) 3.5 L V6 [30-35 mpg - combined]
RX-Fh (370 hp) 3.5L V6 [25-30 mpg - combined]
*dreams*
Now for the GX470 to get the LX570 engine and the LX570 should opt for the turbo charger
One thing with the #s I posted above all the mid-size crossovers should be running scared.
RX-Fh power of a V8 and clean as a I-4.

Well I'll be damned. I cannot believe they're taking the RX to the 'ring! Maybe the thing is going RWD after all.
FWIW, the car on the track is different from the other one seen on the street. Grilles are different, and it seems like less camo.

They are testing the RX on the 'Ring? Somewhat strange, but it looks like the new RX will be more performance-oriented than current gen. I wonder if that was the regular model or the hybrid being tested.
The commercials for the RX350 showed it running at a test track - how true that was of their actual development process I don't know but I don't doubt the RX350 went through some similar runs.
Just because they're running it at the ring doesn't mean it's necessarily going to be heavily performance oriented. It's OK to test other aspects of a luxury-focused vehicle just to make sure there aren't any big oversights such as pig-like handling through certain types of corners or transitions that could be fixed without affecting the ride.
Though with that said I think there's still a good possibility Lexus may be trying to chase BMW with this new RX. I really hope not. Give me a well built fuel efficient softy, Lexus... that's what I want to replace our 4runner in 3 years. Not an X3/X5 wannabe.
