Technical service bulletins (TSBs) are issued by NISSAN to assist technicians with diagnosis and repair. TSBs address specific concerns or conditions such as rough idles, noises and rattles. These specific concerns can be the result of customer or repair shop feedback. The TSB for a specific concern or condition will provide an up-to-date engineering-approved vehicle modification, repair procedure or service part.

Crazy to think of it, but it's good that most of these issues are relatively easy to fix.

They're TSB, not recalls.

I'm pretty sure all car companies have had similar problems with certain vehicles. Toyota and Lexus are not immune to it...

List actually doesn't look that bad to me either. Many of them are informational bulletins and if I was to focus on anything in particular, I'd take away "don't buy a 2003 Murano" out of this list.

Exactly. And the increasing complexity of modern vehicles all but guarantees TSB's. That's why there are computerized systems like AllData and Mitchell-on-Demand to keep track of as many of them as possible.

Well two things. One, Nissans are not cars people buy for quality, so expectations should not be as high as other brands. Secondly, every car made has TSBs, we list them here for Lexus all the time.

The Murano's selling points are tons of style and a nice engine.

That's because the VUE, even the first-generation one, had a lot of Opel-designed parts in it. Opel, while not the worst company in the buisness, is not known for producing reliable components. Neither was GM, Saturn's parent, for many years. The VUE, in many ways, was far different from the generally reliable Saturn S-Series small cars....the S-Series was the only better-then-average reliability vehicle Saturn ever sold.

That's a pretty long list!! If you get all of those done, you might come out of the dealership with practically a new car.

Yeah that list is pretty bad but still not at all unheard of... I'll bet there are a few Toyotas and even Lexus models through the years with lists longer than that.

We never use regular in any of our cars. either mid-grade or premium. We just took it on a 300 mile trip and averaged around 25mpg.

Also: TSB's are par for the course for any manufacturer. Basically, many are done without even the owner's knowledge on routine maintenance visits. As was mentioned, a TSB is not like recall. They are factory notifications to the technicians to either correct or update the vehicles already in owners hands.

Even Toyota has plenty to go around.
http://www.mycarstats.com/auto_TSBs/TOYOTA_TSBs.asp Not a bad thing since it indicates the manufacturer's awareness of the design and function of their vehicles.

I have a 04'SL and there is no chance this is correct.
