You could take a chance and ignore the ticket and say the officer never gave you anything so you didn't know what to do, or if he ever even wrote a ticket at all ... only downside is that if the ticket goes unpaid and unresolved they may suspend your license without warning ...

You could roll the dice and ignore it and then when you get picked up later try to say you don't remember getting a ticket and they will see you're signature was never on it but in reality is that really worth the risk.
Um yeah.....trying to get off on a technicality will **** the judge off but not showing up to court won't?
Don't follow that stupid advice.
Cops also have copies of these tickets and records as to how they were given to you...in person, etc. If you go into court saying he never gave you the ticket, etc. you are going to be dealing with more than a front plate ticket real quick.
MMarshall is right, if you just moved there he might very well be lenient. Have the plate on when you go to court, take a picture and show the judge.
