Back in June, we brought you news that Toyota was in the process of suing a pornography firm for copyright infringement. Apparently the Japanese automaker didn't appreciate that adult film star Lexus Cash was using its luxury division's handle as her stage name and for her website. Evidently unwilling to stop its litigation campaign, Toyota is now turning its lawyers loose on a gay **** actor who also uses the name Lexus.

According to latest reports, the Japanese automaker's lawyers in DC sent a cease-and-desist letter to EBoys Studios in Switzerland. The EBoys honcho insists that his performer chose the name because of its association with Greek mythology, and not with the automotive brand, and that the company will not cave to the carmaker's demands to recall the two flicks it has produced with the actor using that name

 

what if youre name IS Lexus? Maybe Porsche will follow suit. Or even Mercedes.

I am no lawyer but I believe in cases like this, the company HAS to go after whomever/whatever has their name to protect itself.

Just like recently all of us who owned Lexus/Toyota websites got letters to change fonts...

 

I think it is good that Lexus goes after the people who use the name. Besides, I am sure Lexus wants to share the name with pornstars . Maybe if they named themselves Pinto, they wouldn't be hassled

 

I mean...it's respected if you're a **** star named lexus or porsche. Yea I can see why they suit, but cmon haha. As you can see, folks at Toyota headquarters don't have enough to do therefore they watch **** all day. and you know they watch in full so that they can see the CAST at the end and get full names hahahahahahaha. ...Not that I sit around watching all day, but I've seen a few. HA! in full. HA!

And also, is the Lexus font an actual font...because if not, I see it as something to look up to if someone makes a websit and uses the same shaped font by duplicating or something...not too much of a biggie haha

 

Whether Lexus wins or not, the only thing that matters is that they are showing they care about their reputation. People recognize this.

 

Never heard of a god named Lexus in mythology class in high school...

I went to school with a girl name Mercedes, who I later heard stripped for a short period of time... haha Wonder if she got sued...?

 

The difference is that Porsche and Mercedes were well known names before they were used to name cars as well. Mercedes is a girl's name that was popular 100 or so years ago. Lexus is a made up brand name registered by Toyota and they are quite within their rights to go after the **** stars.

Having said which I just thought this was just some sort of elaborate product placement by Lexus..

 

HAHAHAHA..they used a 2IS with "**** star" license plate.
