I like it overall, but why so many lines on the front grill, tone it down and it would much better IMO.

New front is a bit overwrought but it does one thing I like better than the current design; Makes it look more aggressive. So

Default 2011 Nissan Murano unveiled with mild refresh, new SV trim

2011 Nissan Murano unveiled with mild refresh, new SV trim

Nissan has officially confirmed that the new fascia we saw on the European version of the 2011 Murano will find its way to the land of the free. The look carries a reworked bumper, along with similarly sculpted headlights and a new grille. If you were hoping to see the diesel model crop up on dealer lots in your neck of the woods, we've got bad news – it ain't happening. The oil-burning Murano is still only available to our cousins across the pond, leaving us with the capable 3.5-liter VQ V6 with 250 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque as our only powerplant option.

Even so, Nissan has chucked an additional trim line into the mix. Buyers can now choose between a total of eight variants on the Murano theme, including the new SV FWD and SV AWD trims. The Japanese automaker has thrown in 20-inch wheels, a dual-panel moonroof and a bevy of exterior color choices as optional goodies, too. Look for the 2011 Nissan Murano to land on dealer lots by October. Follow the jump for the full press blast.

Wow, just looking at the powerplant and interior, I think it pales in comparison to the new Ford Edge. With so many variations of the VQ engine, dunno why they're using a lower-end/de-tuned one. Haha the 20-inch wheels are Nissans way of taking a shot at the 22"s on the Edge sport LOL

Looks horrible. Nissan is like Mitsubishi now they have one good car the 370z. Everything else is bland.

Everything else is bland? The GT-R, Maxima, Murano, Cube, Juke, are bland? They may not be everyone's taste but I wouldn't call the line-up bland by any means. That description is more appropriate for several other mainstream makes (cough Toyota) but not Nissan.

As to the Murano versus edge. The new Edge is very attractive and probably gives everything in the class a real run for their money. I believe the Murano was already available with 20's on the top trim models so this is not really an answer to the big shoes on the Edge.

Well, not everyone is in the market for sports cars. But, I agree...I've never liked the Murano's looks, in either generation.

This is nothing short of outrageous. There is no plausible reason why we can't get more diesels in America like they have in Europe. People want better fuel economy. They want lower emissions. With the new-generation Bluetec/TDI diesels (and the low-sulfur diesel fuel we now have), you can now get both. True, not all gas stations sell diesel fuel, but it is still reasonably available.

The Japanese automaker has thrown in 20-inch wheels, a dual-panel moonroof and a bevy of exterior color choices as optional goodies, too.
I know not everyone will agree with me, but I see 20" wheels as simple overkill. IMO, they look awful on the Venza....they won't be any better on the Murano.

In still other news, I don't have to worry about my lawn. Thanks to the condo board and the contract, Jose and Pablo from the landscape company do it.

this murano should be starting at 20K and not 25k, it's looks and feel overpriced.

The 20" wheels are the best part, otherwise that 2011 front end is hardly an improvement.
