So its 8am and im on my way to school about 10 minutes late, i see an E39 (about 2002) 530i nice clean white BMW infront of me at a light.. i take a glance down at his plate and his plate frame cathches my eye! top says TRD big and red and the bottom says toyota racing development! I start cracking up and took a pic, i havent been home to upload the pic off my phone yet, i'll get it up here tonight :) What is he thinking?? (I'm both a Lexus owner and as of thursday also a BMW owner but i wouldnt do that!)

This could be true... But if you think about it most people dont see it like that. When it caught my eye im just like WHAT!?! its a BMW with a Toyota (TRD) plate frame... It just seems odd, something smarter would be those frames that say, My other car is a _______. I think im gonna get one of those too! :)

rediculous! ... it's like when ppl mis-badge their cars ... don't do it!

LOL, bad idea, really? I thought it's kinda clever.. What do you think about this.. Have a plate on like an H1 that says my other car is a Hybrid... I think thats funny :)

Or maybe he's a rep for TRD.

How about those with retrofit headlights in a Lex? i.e. BMW Angel eyes, Q45 projectors, TSX projectors etc..Why not keep it original? Your thoughts?:)

in H.S. I had a real Cobra. The funny thing is alot of kids would buy the cobra emblems and put them on their cars backwards. .

This is all true, this stuff didnt come to mind when i first saw it. I mean i dont care if hes the CEO of Toyota. If hes driving a BMW i still think he shouldnt put a TRD plate frame, dont you guys agree? It's just WEIRD! No offense to any of people who have done something like this :p

Maybe he had a fat 2jz setup or maybe even a 3uz :eek2:

You never know these days. I hear 240sx are getting 2jz transplants instead of the usual KA-T or SR20DET setups.

!!!! YOUR RIGHT... GUESS WHAT I SAW THIS WEEKEND... I met a guy with an S13... rolled up to my friends house with a motor and exhaust that should the neighborhood like no other! Im like what in the world does this guy have under his hood my friends were like dude he has a SR swap, im like naw man that is NOT an SR... He pops his hood there sits a very snug LS1 with straight pipes! AMAZING! He had 225's stretched as far as possible in the back and he said he cant give it more then like 50% throttle or he'll just melt his tires, unless hes on the highway.. (But very unlikely for this BMW guy)

If I rolled with badges, stickers, or L-plate frames mine would be a Jag, Lexus, Mercedes, BMW combo frame....... so maybe he just had several interests. The fact he cares enough to display it shows obvious interest. This is a good thing. :)
