so many holes and vents. body kit is overcooked.

That is the black series and I actually like it a lot.

 

To me SLK anything looks disgusting. Doesn't have to be AMG.

The SLK is nice and smooth stock, but gets butchered whenever a body kit is added because of its small proportion. If you add wheels that are too big, or a body kit that attracts too much attention, the car begins to look like a toy.

I like the "simplicity" of the car. Too bad most mods don't like the word "simple."

 

I'm not a huge fan of those kinds of fender vents.

Other than that, I like the car.

 

I'm not an SLK fan, but with the engine it has it must be a BLAST to drive (AMG)

the SLK55 AMG (the non-black) doesn't look so butchered

 

I really dislike this car and thank God everyday I see one that my g/f did buy one of these hideous things. This goes for AMG, Black, etc - they're all ugly!

 

Both gens are cute cars according to my g/f. If going for looks, I'd choose the older one. New one is too bulbous and soft looking (no matter how many vents they put on it). Sure the AMG is fast, but there are other options in that price range with better looks.
