Post C&D #1. 328i sedan vs #2. G35 sedan comparo

I don't have the link yet but seems the 328 (not the 335) just beat the G35 in C&D in a comparison.

You're correct. I just received the new issue and the BMW model tested was the 328. In CD's opinion, the BMW's refinement vs. the G35 seemed to be the deciding factor in their decision.

Here is the link I posted on G35Driver. I was a little surprised myself that C&D placed the 328i ahead of the G, but oh well.

so they argue refinement on this car when they subject luxury flagship cars in a comparo to sport sedan tests and barely even mention the word refinement?

This would have been more interesting had they thrown the IS350 into the mix. BMW3 will probably always be king of the hill but a 3-way battle would be most revealing since these are probably the 3 most significant cars in this segment (in North America, that is).

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT, this is ridiculous. Clearly BMW is either paying C&D off or just kissing their ***. A 328 is simply no match for a G35. Heck, its not even a match to a V6 Camry.

LOL, they said G35 runs 1/4 mile in 14.1 seconds, meanwhile its running mid 13s all day long

Its a waste of time to look at C&D. They've been worshiping BMW for years. Reading the beginning of the article will tell you all you need to know about the bias:

Rightfully so. BMW is at the top of the hill in it's class. The 328i? Not quite but the 335i/M3 > *

Don't get me wrong, the Gf is getting a IS. I like the car (a lot), it's just not for me.

You guys are funny.

Anyway, it was an interested read. I already posted my thoughts in the link "TheGambler" posted; C&D nitpicked refinement when they usually spend more time focusing on sport. I'd take a G35 over a 328.

I still think new G35 is one hell of a car for the money.

That's how I usually describe the G35. Probably the best car for "the money" in it's class.

IS350 would be the most comfortable. 335i would be most sporty.
