so it seems that the only flat or matte black cars that look good are the ones that have a lot of curves in the body...

lotus elise, just about any ferrari/lambo/porsche/exotic... how about a VW bug? haha.

There are some aspects that I like and some that I don't. The rear splitter is all sorts of weird, it extends too far off the end of the rear skirt. I do love how the fender vents integrate into the wide body. The opposing body lines on the doors is a little much as well as the front bumper.

 

The only thing I would change are the side mirrors. It looks like they replaced them with cameras or something?

 

They did. It's a one off car though, it's expected that things like that never make it to production. I'm surprised that 5 Axis doesn't create more real product, they've done a ton of concepts for Toyota/Scion/Lexus. The FT-HS was put into flesh by them. The Scion Fuse, t2b, Project IS-F were also done by them.
