Cheap knock-offs. Some Chinese company must've made a Brembo imitation and called it the Brembro brakes.

That Geely is SICK! (Did I say that with a striaght face? )

Slap an MB badge on there and the totally clueless will bite. Wonder how well they implemented the HID's. "Kompressor" will be "Kompresher" j/k.

I've never seen that ad on TV before. Guess they pulled it right away. I've never understood the need for local dealers to make their own marketing campains. Statewide campains, such as the TX editions of every full size truck make sense. People here are suckers for anything with Texas on them. Hell, I'd get one if I were buying a truck. But why do Acura and BMW and maybe others do their own DFW area campains? I bet Acura will not allow dealers to do these anymore.

I know if I saw that spot it wouldn't have aired at our station. I put in commercials all the time and if we see a mistake, or even a questionable mistake we contact our sales department who than contacts the AE to confirm. I know most non car people would not have noticed the error in the spot, but I would have.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen it since the night I posted this thread I could maybe understand if it was a Neon or Kia that they were running a sale on, but this is supposed to be Acura's "performance" version of the TL, aimed squarely at auto enthusiasts. And I know they MUST have gotten some comments about this spot from several people already...

I think I am going to import 10 Geely's and double my money with a few quick badge changes

On another note, I found the brembro spokesman.............
