I was looking for a video of a Caddy CTS-V vs. M5 and I found this vid of an M5 v. a Ferrari 575 Maranello. All I have to say is wow Enjoy.

It would seem the 575 took the M5? You can hear the 575's engine and then it goes silent - that seems to me that he let off at that point and then the M5 took over - do I have this wrong?

No, the M5 driver closed his window. That's why the sound from the ferrari fades away.

Interesting. I love the M5, if I had the money it's the car I'd buy - but tbh if they were the same price I'f go for the 575M every time. I got to drive one of those around for a day and it's easily one of my favorite cars, even if the M5 takes it. (besides, as nice as the M5 looks... come on now. )

yeah.... they were rollin'.... seems as the ferrari was lackin' at a particular point in that power band.... I wonder what it would have been off the line.

The M5 took the Ferrari in 5th gear and still had 6 gear left You can tell by looking at the dash readout. One car length victory according to the rearview mirror of the M5
