Updated 07 BMW X3

BMW is about to launch a facelift of its best seller X3 by the end of this year, a large number of rivals are waiting to dethrone the current market leader. While the X3’s restyling consists of an altered front end, new head and taillights, a more luxurious interior, and updated engines, the competing car makers will strike out against BMW with all new 4x4 SUV’s in the same class.

I know that the current models have painted bumper and that black bumperr is to help prevent scratches like the xterra, element....yada yada yada.
I don't know why would anyone buy an X3? IT's so cheap looking everywhere
I'd rather get a used X5 if you want to keep the price down.

The X5 is sooo much better. I have driven the X3 many times and it feels very cheap and noisy and seems to have few options available. My wife has an X5, much nicer and quieter!! Last edited by CdeFabio; May 23, 2006 at 12:49 PM.

Well yall calling it a POS is accurate. Its gotten bashed in every review for being useless as a SUV and it doesn't drive like a BMW. American based and Euro based mags. Some of the things said in the Euro mags are so harsh, its not even funny.
Add ugly and unreliability and its a best seller sells to people who have no clue.
Period

X5s are status symbols down here in Mexico, whereas X3 says, "couldn't afford an X5"
However, this ought to open some of your eyes as to pricing inconsistencies between two countries (even with our higher taxation down here, this makes no sense and even a BMW sales manager who lives in my apartment building told me it is nutty):
USD prices (Source Yahoo Autos USA and Yahoo Autos Mexico)
2006 BMW X3 3.0 (Mexico): 51,900 minimum
2006 BMW X3 3.0 (USA): 36,800 MSRP
2006 BMW X5 3.0 (Mexico): 57,900 minimum
2006 BMW X5 3.0 (USA): 42,500 MSRP
2006 BMW X5 4.4 (Mexico): 71,300 minimum
2006 BMW X5 4.4 (USA): 53,600 MSRP
2006 BMW X5 4.8 (Mexico): 87,000 minimum
2006 BMW X5 4.8 (USA): 71,100 MSRP
Quite stupid huh?
