Default Just curious??

Whats up my fellow GS owners. I just have a quick question, to all those who bought their own cars, with girlfriends.... or boyfriends for you ladie GS owners. But I get really irritated when my girl wants to use my ride, and then gets all pissy when I say..."drive your own damn car" Now I've put alot of money and work in to my car, and just don't like handing the keys over on demand..... Am I being to protective? and just an a$$hole? Just wanting to hear what others have to say....

she knows now for sure, my rides are off limits. PERIOD.

Ohh, did I mention she destroyed a nice wheel off my car once, " I did'nt see that pot hole honey" never again....never again...

lol.. i used to let my girl drive the car when it was all stock.. but now that it's gettin' modified, she won't even ask anymore - she's just too scared that she'll wreck something and she doesn't want me to get mad at her. i even offer to let her drive and she'll say no lol so i don't even worry about it!

Just hand over the keys. If you do you'll score more points than you can imagine. I know you've put a lot of work into it, but coughing it up for the significant other is the icing on the cake!
So much so that I bought my GS300 for my wife to drive to work. All she ever says is that "my husband bought me a Lexus" and all her friends and co-workers think I'm the shiznit.

That said... if she's a clueless dingbat that drives a Corsica with roadrash from stem to stern... .well then thats a whole different story.

I used to deal with that when I had what we called the "nice car" but ever since we went out and bought her that fully loaded Volvo XC90 she thinks she has the "nice car" now and doesn't bother to drive my "old car" Nonetheless she doesn't ask anymore...

Get her something to take her mind off your car...

The only time my ex drove my GS was when I was sick in her house and I was parked behind her Explorer sport and I was like "look just take my car" b/c she had to go to school at GA Tech

I think though, I was high on drugs and morphine

The car came back without a scratch but that was the last time. She had her car, I have mine.

cool, I see some people feel the same as me... Like I said, I'm not a ****, but like Speedie says about buying a nicer ride, which I offer to help her with all the time. I tell her to sell her damn car, and will get another one. But you know, blah blah blah........ LOL

It helps one of my rides is a manual so she cant drive it. The lexus she has twice... Once when I 1st bought it all stock (cant ruin that) and then with the c/o and wheels which was scary. She was very cautious. She has a new e46 anyways so she is content which is nice.

With the new front and what not, I can say that she will not be in the driver seat anytime soon...

i've only had my car for like 3 months, she hasn't drove it yet, and after i get my new set of wheels, she's not driving for sure. only on road trips when i put the stock wheels back on, i'll think about letting her drive it

I let my girl drive my Expedition one week while I was away on business. I made her promise not to smoke in it while I was gone. When I got back I found ash in my car and confronted her on it. She caved and admitted she smoked in it. I told her there and then that she would never drive another one of my cars - especially the GS.

She has asked a couple of times but now she understands that she no longer has a chance in hell of ever driving my car again.

man that's mean but that only means you don't trust her driving

i have no problem having my wife drive my cars, either the gs400 or the sc430. well, bad things happened, but then again that's how you learn. i have to say though, beside her (and maybe 1 or 2 guys that i really really trust), no one else sits in the driver seat

My gf will NEVER touch my car!

I've been through too many accidents while a woman was driving the car and I learned from experience. CONCLUSION: NO WOMAN WILL EVER DRIVE MY CAR! (Don't Hate me plz! ).

I have no problem letting my girlfriend now wife drive any of my cars. In fact, I she is usually the one that doesn't want to drive my cars because she is afraid something might happen. I really don't care. Cars can be fixed.
