yah instead of have straight edge boxy type of corners on the bumper, they should have smoothed it out ovalish like the e46 m3 bumper.

I'm more of a fan of the "voluptuous booty" front bumper on the current E46 M3. This one... Not so much.

Look's good. I dunno what you guys don't like about it. Car's change and when they do if they keep too much from the previous generation then they are just recycling the designs and end up being nissan.

im sure a lot of people said similar things about the E46 M3 when it was first revealed...some might have said it's too bulbous etc...change is difficult to adjust to but I have a feeling this new M3 will grow as well. if it doesnt win you over w/ the looks it'll pound it into you with the power LOL

Not at all. The E46 M3 was ADORED right away b/c a lot of the complaint of the E36 M3 was it was way to subtle. The E46 addressed this with that LOOK AT ME front air dam, wheel arches and overall, tauntness.

The E36 M3 was sublte but clearly not ugly, a good looking car.

This is ugly to me. That oddly shaped grill, weird shaped headlights, the long trunk, egads.

I am not impressed when a company slaps on a bodykit and big wheels and a drop to make a car look better b/c the stock design is horrendous.

ANY CAR looks better with a bodykit, drop and big wheels. EVERY CAR does.

Clearly this car will PERFORM but like the CURRENT M5, it won't be the darling of the press anymore b/c you actually have to look at it.

I think this new coupe looks very good. In fact, I didn't think BMW could improve the look from E46 M3, but simply looking at this picture, it is a positive improvement from the old one. The current M5 is HOT, so is the regular 5-series. You look at its sales number then you would know it outsold any thing in its class. Even 5-series is from $10k to $30k(not including M5) more expensive than the new IS, the bimmer still outsold it.
