The odo is SO easy to d-conn in MkIV's, that I'd never buy one and pay big $ based on mileage alone. Not saying they did that, but I know for a fact that it is not uncommon, unfortunately. I miss my '97.

I love Supra turbo's and it was one of the main cars I wanted to own but used ones are way overpriced and not worth anywhere near what most want for them. That car is a 94 and even if the mileage is right and it was not really modified it is not worth anywhere near what that guy is asking. 37-40K for a 10+ year old Toyota, what idiot would pay anywhere near that. I would not pay over 15K for that car no matter how tunable or how much potential it has and I would love a black Supra turbo. Even as well built as a Toyota Supra is there are going to be things that are going to be going bad or wearing no matter how few miles it has because it is 10+ years old and they can be extremely expensive to fix and replace. I have seen 30K+Supras in classifieds, cars.com, autotrader, etc for sale for well over a year mainly because people are not going to pay anywhere near those prices for used ones.

A 98 Lexus GS400 usually goes for maybe 14-16K and it is a car from a premium brand, has a v-8, and a nicer interior, how can people charge or pay sometimes 3 times that much for a used Toyota even if it is nice and has alot of potential. They maybe rare but they are not that rare and the car does not have the prestige to be commanding those prices like say a used Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin. I have seen 99-00 Porsche 91s around 40K some even less. A 94 SC400 can be had for less then 10K and it is built on the same platform as the Supra, has a nicer interior, has a v-8, has tuning potential, is from a more premium brand etc. I wonder if people take these facts into consideration when buying or selling at those insanely high prices or they just hear everyone says Supras are cool and there was one in The Fast In The Furious. I would love for Toyota to make another Supra just so prices for used ones will go way down.

40k for a Supra. I would do it. It will out last other 40k sport rides like BMW M3, Audi S4, Porsche Boxster, Mercedes CLK, and Chevy Corvette C6. It will also out perform all of those. It will outperform cars in the 100,000+ range as well. Not to mention it will hold its value better than any other car. Supra is just the best value you can get in America for a performance car.

Very! That’s why they get the big bucks.

Most Supras have something done to them as the cars are relatively easy to mod and the results give a lot of bang for the buck. But most people who want one want them stock. As a project car, they don’t want anything done to them so they can sculpt it to their exact specs.

I had my heart set on one when I get back to the states (Supras were never sold in Mexico as Toyota came in 2002), but decided on getting a classic late 60s Mustang instead.
