Selling a car on Ebay

Hopefully this will find someone with experience selling an automobile on Ebay. If I was to sell a $32,000 car, how much would I owe to Ebay for this?

Is it a % of the sales price?

Thanks in advance.

Check it out:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html

A $32k item will cost about $493.12 if it sells, but nothing if it doesn't sell (beyond the listing fee).

I suggest putting your car on AutoTrader.com (or Cars.com) instead. They charge you a flat fee of $79 "until it sells." You can post your info and pics without the auction hassle. Also, most people on eBay will buy it and try to pay through PayPal, etc. Don't forget that PayPal will charge you a percentage fee for cashing out when the time comes. WIth AutoTrader, payment is between you and the buyer. The buyer would pay you with cash/check via their own financing.

I sold my last car through AutoTrader, and it turned out great. The good thing is that the potential buyers were local, so I didn't have to deal with the hassle of shipping the car to an out-of-state buyer. Also, people can test drive the car which is pretty important for someone willing to drop $32k for a used car.
