That E90 styling is really grown on me. As a matter of fact, here it is....

Bangle, i actually like this design. :eek2: :eek2:

I;ve been a secret, or maybe not so secret admirer of the E90 for a while ever since I saw it in real life. I can't wait for the coupe version.

not really liking it. too many lines and way too busy for me :(

I like the kit. Looks great. But notice how they never show the rear. I wonder why??

I like the front(sexy as hell) and sides, but the rear is a complete mess. Horrible. I too am waiting for the coupe.

I've always been a BMW man :D:thumbup: After Lexus of course :p:D

i've always liked the front... the rear is what killed my taste.

to be honest the car looks great in person. the rear isnt bad its just conservative and for a car with complicated lines its rather subdued and requires more of a busy rear. the e90 sedan > e46 sedan, however the e46 coupe would be hard to beat, if the e90 coupe takes cues from the e90 sedan.

The tailights are sloppy. I don't like them.

This is the same thing that is running through my mind and it seems worse on the three than the five or seven, although you can see the trend developing. When you get to the smaller body, there are just too many lines, creases, fold, insies, outsies, and demarcations for my tastes. For now they stand out because they are reasonably new but in a few months, I doubt they will have a classic look. More the pontiac "if a little is too much, a lot is better" look of old.

Dont like those wheels. Other than that... Bingo!

Future M3?

BMW execs have been saying for a while now that they weren't going to let Chris Bangle screw around with their bread-and-butter car...the 3 series.....as much as with the slower-selling 5 and 7 series ( thank goodness ) . They simply couldn't afford it. The 3-series ( including the M3's ) account for some 60% of BMW's worldwide sales. A big negative public reaction to this car.....unlike the 5 and 7-series.......would put a lot of people at BMW out in the bread line. This is also the car ( and we Lexus and Subaru fans have to admit it :agreed: ) that sets the international standard for medium-priced sports sedans....and has done so for some years. BMW realizes the need to keep from having massive changes on this car and driving people away.
I have not seen this car first-hand or driven it ( it is on my future schedule for a review ) but from what I HAVE seen of the exterior and interior in photos, it is pretty much what the BMW execs said it would be......somewhat Bangle-ized but not to the extent of its bigger brothers. I-Drive, for instance....the bane of many auto reviewers ( and myself ) is not standard on this car....it is an option only on some models, and the pronounced trunk-lid lip and ugly headlights on other Chris Bangle cars are more muted on this car as well.

I'm going to have to agree with you there, way too busy.

We must have similar taste. ;)

Hmmm...not really feelin' the new m3. I prefer the e46. Looks much better IMO.
