Nice! Then again, they can brag all they want but until it actually goes into production, the Koenigsegg CCR will retain the title of the fastest production car.

The Koenigsegg (man say that 5 times fast when you're drunk) is muchhh sexier but not as sexy as the Zonda! I hear rumors that the new Zonda in the works will launch supercar status to superstratus levels.

That thing is F A S T...love the video on their historic run
Unfortunately, whilst we would love to show you photographs of the event, the official photographer failed to grab any shots of the momentous occasion, the car was moving so quickly.

EDIT: They do have a picture of the test Veyron, just not when it was breaking the record (but how can you tell from a photograph anyway?):

they say the Veyron is ready to sell...they just need to get a few minor things straightened out, like the steering
Bugatti also claims that the ones on display during this past years shows were all actually functional cars--just not yet "mass produced"
but if it did....
this W16 Quad Turbo beast will be a VERY FRIGHTENINGLY FAST CAR.

unstable at its top end?
isn't that stupidly pointless then?
Bugatti designed this car for high speeds--it'd be pointless to have it scary unstable at its top end.
the steering and its aerodynamics have been tweaked significantly to have it stable at its high end. you don't design a sports car without taking into consideration its performance.

Well one of the reasons this car keeps getting pushed back is due to the high speed stability. That is one reason why that duct in the front side is now added and the front bumper in restyled. THe front grill is also larger and the rear is touched up.
BTW, the car will be limited to about 220mph or so, ONLY when you notify Bugatti that you want to take it to its top speed, they come and HAVE to add special tires and I think take off the limiter.
Over I million dollars.
