how come the slr engine doesnt use the 7-spd tranny as does the slk....wouldnt it be better for the slr???

The 7 speed auto transmission cannot handle the huge torque & hp. All the V8 AMG's & V12 Benz 's all have the 5 speed auto transmissions.

I love these kind of conversions.

Allthough with the holes in the hood, it's not much of a sleeper.
