Oh snap!!?? Is that the cars that he beat?? Its a possibility that he beat some of these cars. I can definitely see him beating some Porsches and Vettes, the others are a little bit harder to beat. I cant knock it, as I think ita possible that he has. Not to mention if this guy has mods. With mods this car is beastly(not like it isnt when stock). I mean dont forget the FQ-430 or whatever it's called. However we dont know what kind of race he could be talking about. It could be regular street races, it could be quarter mile races, it could be on a professional track. Also, over a certain high speed, the exotics have more pulling power. These EVO's and STI's lose a lot of top end power( or so I keep hearing). They are basically street legal rally cars that dont need a lot of top end power, just frightenly quick acceleration.

There is no freaking way this guy will beat a Lambo or a viper. Ive seen the EVOs take on ferrari's ,Vets, and Porsches (boxers dont count) before, but I also saw the engine pics (sorry cant find the link) and all the guy has is a blow-off valve, intake, and obvioulsy a bigger Intercooler. The turbo seemed stock, and even with NOS he doesnt have anything on a Lambo.

 

Not only is it possible his car is faster more realistically he may be a better driver than a lot of other people. Most of the guuys I see in Porsches look like they have the car only to compensate for a lack of something about themselves....not pure enthusiasts. A lot of guys with Corvettes look older. Guys in an Evo are usually drivers. They'd have to be to drive this car. It's a cool car but not very attractive imo. Whomever is driving one surely isn't looking for style points.

 

You know that because of the EVO mitsubishi almost went out of business, right? Bunch of teenage kids buy the car, drive them to the grownd, and then get them repo'ed because they cant afford the payments. It was supposed to be the front runner in the Mitsubishi line up.... and now all hope is on the 2006 Eclipse.

 

I'd like to see some vids but these cars be made to be seriously quick.

With these upgrades alone you're looking about a 4 second 0-60 time and a 12.7x quarter.

 

A Mitsubishi EVO can beat out all the other cars depending on the racing venue. Of course, top speed runs of 200 mph + will be difficult for the evo. However, racing does involve turning. Racing isn't soley 1/4 mile runs or highway runs. There is a reason why you have a wheel in front of you everytime you are in the drivers seat. It has a purpose.

Have you heard about the Vishnu tuned EVO that beat out many of the big boys at One Lap of America? There were porsches, vettes, and exotics, but the tiny little 4 banger beat them.
