Sad to see, but what a lineup they have! I want a Crown Royal because well...it's a Crown Royal.

Goodbye Aristo, your run has been good and only do I wish that the V300 showed up on this side of the world. Have a nice life in retirement.

Lexus is never going to be "on top" of toyota in Japan. Lexus will just be a spin-off from the giant corporation. Kinda like Scion is a spin-off from toyota in the US. This has been discussed to death, but the top of the line from Lexus is still short of the top of the line from Toyota and it seems like even with the new stuff rolling out in 2006, it will be still be that way. They are just decentralizing and differentiating their products for different segments of the market.

I know for a fact Lexus will open its first dealership here in Jakarta next year and suddenly everyone will be going crazy to buy their Lexuses. Even though, they could have gotten the same thing from the years past but they would have been called Toyota.

well the way i see it, toyota might still have a car that's most superior (i assume you mean the century or so). but the lexus is going to be a advertised as a luxury brand in japan, and toyota is going to be the economy one. to me that means a lot already

Right now you have idiots that say "Lexus is just a nice Toyota, in Japan your Lexus is badged as a Toyota." In the mind of the average person, selling Lexus in Japan will raise the aura of prestige because you can no longer say it's just a rebadged Toyota. But of course, the people who truely know Lexus knows that it's more than just a nice Toyota

The Toyota Century is a 5 litre V12, but if you see how it looks like, I won't take it over the 05 LS430 even if they give it to me.

yeah i know it's a v12, but somehow it doesn't do much to me. maybe when i sit in one in person. it's just like if someone give me a 760, i probably won't feel much. but if it's a s600 i would be all over it
