MOST women and some men just don't understand the love to mod a car. Got into a little heated discussion on my car with my ex-gf that annoyed me... Conversation went like this..

ex-gf: I am so happy u won the show
me: thanks
ex-gf: Still don't understand the point of putting all this "shiat" on the car
me: Its a form of art for me..
ex-gf: Why do u need big rims for?
me: because it looks better
ex-gf: so what, its gonna get stonechips, rockchips later on.
me: (facial expression)
ex-gf: why do u spend so much money on your car? Its only a piece of moving metal.(saying with an attitude)
me: why do u spend so much money on makeup its only you..(kinda smirking)
ex-gf: (reaction in order as follows) 1) 2) 3)

 

D-man..never understood this either. Women are quick to spend $60 for blush, but can't fathom why we spend $300 for a strut bar, or $80 for wax.

Its all about priorities. Women make a hobby out of painting their faces, most of which look like clowns IMO. Men have a hobby of hooking up their cars, some of which do it tastefully and some rice them out.

 

Could this be one of the reasons WHY she's your ex?

Sorry to here that ...........Looks like I am very lucky my wife likes all the things I do to my car and she is very understanding, also she was very happy that I held a meet at our house. (pics of meet below)

Me too. My wife has absolutely no problem with me spending money on my car provided we have the money in the bank to begin with! She hates using a credit card for doing mods to the car. Very smart lady!

its all about compromise. the guy gets to spend money on the car and the girl gets to spend money on something she'd like. as long as both are happy, there shouldn't be any problems.

i think some women do indeed understand modding. you cant generalized as the whole.

This is not to put down women: Women don't need to understand about modding. Like men, we will never understand the expensive purse, multiple shoes, diamonds, heavy make-up, or anything that women do.

Adidas just said it. If the guys gets to spend $ on themselves (without being nagged too much) and the ladies gets to spend $ on themselves (without having the men nag also), then everybody's happy.
Simple philosophy, right?
