Another reason it's due time the feds stepped in and end the hp war.
Idiots can't handle the power...I can already tell alot of Ford GT's will find themselves in the same position.
Give me a Porsche GT3 or 360 Modena

Judging from the pics alone, what do you think you can salvage from that pile that's worth $5000 except saying that's from an Enzo ?

But I need to go off on a tangent here. LexusLuver, do you realize that your first statement about the feds ending the power war negates your second statement about your dream car being a Porsche GT3 or 360 Modena?
The feds shouldn’t stop it for safety reasons. Bad driving isn’t reserved for the rich.
The thing is, Enzo owners shouldn't be idiots.
I think Ferrari sells its high end cars such as Enzo, F50, and F40s only to perspective Ferrari owners who at least have some experiences with such cars.
Crash happens all the time though. Perhaps exotic car crashes are just publicized more than others, that's all.

It's not just an issue of bad driving, the Enzo is a race car. Not exactly street friendly, that owner should have known the car was way out of his league. He's a fool to drive F1-style in Houston's downtown streets during peak traffic hours. Considering there were 70 Enzos exported to the US, assuming all have been completed, I can think of two that have been totalled so far, and I doubt anyone daily drives the Enzo.
The hp war doesnt involve Ferrari, at 380 and 400hp neither the GT3 or 360 are overly powerful. Both are user friendly, and need no regualtion. However cars like the Ford GT (550-600hp) are clearly overpowered.
The next Mustang Cobra is likely to push 500-600rwhp with bolt-ons.
Fact is true highperformance cars dont need more than 500hp, at least not for the general enthusiast. There is no reason for an owner to be afraid of his car, or unable to concentrate before reaching a corner. I think the avg driver needs time to think before entering corners. Unless of course the owner plans on doing highway pulls, or going to a roadcourse to pull on straights, effectively turning it into a dragrace.
To think the hp war wont attract the attention of insurance or federal policymakers is irresponsible.
Thats just my opinion.
BTW the GT3 and 360 were around before the hp war started. I just wonder how much useless power the Viper GTS coupe, Z06, and Mustang Cobra will put down. Keep in mind the F50 had 4.7L 520hp motor. I can predict alot more Enzos will find themselves in junkyards, unless owners take heed.

Second, even though he owned one of the world's premier exotic car manufacturers, believe it or not....and I know many of you on this forum won't, but it is a fact.....he himself drove an entry-level Fiat econobox 128.
In fact, before Fiat left the U.S. market, they used to make a big deal of this in their TV ads.....Enzo himself driving up to his reserved sparking space at Ferrari corporate headquarters in his little white Fiat buzzbox, parking, and a company employee opening the door for him and helping him out. So this begs the question of whether Enzo Ferrari would have really wanted his FIRST name on this car....the fact is that though he manufactured, sold, and raced Ferraris for decades, he apparantly never actually owned one. I never met the man and cannot speak for him, but my guess is that he would NOT have approved the Enzo name for this car.....the company marketers simply named this car out of their zeal for his memory without stopping to think what he himself would have wanted.
