The Bronco already is a response to the Wrangler. The ramcharger would be the grand wagoneer rebadge.

Jeep isnt moving the Grand Wagoneer in any meaningful volume, say conquest customers from the GM. Bringing a Ram onto the market is even more challenging without reducing entry cost, which would further doom the underlying platform further.

Its nice that Stellantis is investing in products for dealerships to sell, but the market is challenging even with deregulation.

Their high end V8 supercharged etc always have a market.
Their everyday mid and low range is a hard sell. They have done affordable, economical CUVs and not many takers. They have done sedans not many takers. They have tried to bring the Suburban fight to GM customers, no takers.

IMO the Durango platform would probably make a better potential Ramcharger, if directly competing with the Bronco is an issue...the GW is just so big. Something that big would also tend to be pretty clumsy off-road.

The Suburban/Yukon/Escalade practically owns this part of the market....even the Expedition and Navigator have (some) difficulty competing with them.

Grand Wagoneer wheelbase: 123 or 130 inches. Ram Crew Cab wheelbase: 144.5 inches. GW has independant rear suspension, Rams are solid rear axle. Ramcharger pictures have already leaked. Put those pictures next to a GW and tell us thats a "rebadge"

That would be ideal for a new Ramcharger. Although somewhat crude and unsophisticated, solid rear axles generally work best off-road, because of their cast-iron housing and inherent durability. Even on-road, that is one reason why Ford stuck with them on the Mustang for so many years...they generally held up under repeated burnouts.

Better towing capacity and longer wheel base.

Unless these are coming with the Hellcat engine or any of the V8s I dont see the appeal of these without packing incentives. The GW is hurricane only?

I am intrigued to see what happens here.

The only V8s in this class are GM triplets. Ford, Jeep, Toyota are v8-less

its also how they are differentiating the products, it seems Rams are going to stick with the V8s while jeep gets the hurricanes except for any high performance models like 392 or SRT
