@Striker223 does that engine have 2 serpentine belts, or 1 that threads through at different angles?
The M113K?
It has two, the main belt with slightly altered routing and a BIG belt outboard of that for the super that gets in the way of everything on the front of the engine until removed. Still very easy to work on overall but a little busy vs how nice and simple the M112/3 engine bays usually are.
Read what I said again, I said that soon you will be able to order without the housing as kits get made for those cars.
I also told you how much I can get one for. I do not undersell it at all, if it takes people longer it's a literal skill issue.
AC and coolant.......one gets recovered before the job and you pull van on it for 30-40 min before refilling and the other gets vac filled and finish bleed after. Big woop.
Lets play a game. How long did the below pictures take me to accomplish? The rear drive shaft bolts all fought me severely as did the drivers side axle bolt, all required oxy/act torch heat to remove. Book time is 31.4 hours to do....
This is always your argument. Everybody isn't you. Irregardless of how long it may take you, if the book time is 31.4 hours thats what a consumer is going to pay for.
The thermostat on my car is a $3,500+ job...it just is. Not an easy job.

!!!!
$3500 to change a thermostat? Talk about being in hot water....or in this case, hot coolant LOL
I can remember, although it was many years ago, when I easily replaced a thermostat myself, in the driveway, in just a few minutes. Drain out some coolant, unclamp the hose, pull off the thermostant-housing, take out the old thermostat, scrape off the old dried sealant, apply some new sealant, put the new thermostat in the same position, bolt the housing back on, re-attach the clamp, refill the coolant.....good to go, and it sure didn't cost $3500. Striker223 could probably do it with his eyes closed.

I didn't know Yamaha made an engine for Volvo. This one is a beauty.
Yes, Yamaha has produced auto engines before.....not just for motorcycles. Remember the old Ford Taurus SHO sedan? Yamaha made the high-output transverse V6 and V8 engines for its two generations.

I tried to get my buddy who owned a Ford dealership to get me a Taurus SHO wagon, but it never happened.
My frist car was a 1993 SHO automatic. The engine was a screamer, the rest of the car absolute garbage.
It looked just like this.
It was such a piece of **** but it was a cool first car, it had TONS of features for the time. For 1993 having leather/auto a/c/10 way power seats/ABS/moonroof/premium sound/remote code entry was a lot. The stereo was actually quite good, it was JBL. The car was just such shoddily made junk.
Insanity.
Probably a great engine but it should never cost that much or be that much work to replace a T-stat.
Dammmmmm....
You gotta pay to play! It’s not made for somebody to buy it when it’s 5 years old and drive it to 15 years old, it’s made for somebody to lease it and love it and give it back lol

Well, please do the T-stat service before you trade it in so I don't have to do it. Haha
I'd be very happy with a 5 year old MB like that. 🏆

Toyota charged us $740 to change the PCV valve. I was like you 100% need to explain why a $12.00 part is a $740 job.
Turns out its behind the intake manifold on the current gen Highlander Hybrid. Reminiscent of Cadillacs' Northstar V8 starter location.
That Yamaha Volvo V8 sounds amazing with a open exhaust.
My Parents had a SHO with 5spd manual. Talk about torque steer.
