Porsche is insane with the level of customization. They've got this "Paint to sample" program that starts at $14k. Here's an example of just green shades.
I’m also very picky about interior color — the color combo has to be what I want if it’s going to be my car. Ain’t no compromising there.
No I get it. It was black interior or nothing for our LX.
It's still nice inside with the tan but the black looks soooooo much better. It was literally a deal breaker, one with the beige interior. Deal breaker. The black and beige, those were the only colors available inside at the time.
I try different interior colors but I always come back to black.
One reason is those light interiors look great when they're new, but even if you clean them as religiously as I do they wind up looking dingy and dirty if they don't have black carpets etc
I tried light interiors twice in my first LS430 and my 460, the 430 I just gave up after a while and the 460 came with a new interior that I managed to keep that way until my wife started dailying it. Now the footwell carpet is discolored and I don't feel like dealing with it...
Im back to black or super dark contrast colors over black carpet/main areas. The exception is the Pheaton but it was mint to start and will be kept that way
I was a loyal black interior guy for 20 years but I needed a switch up. My white Nuluxe is holding up really well considering I work in a very dusty, dirty environment.
Gear oil, hydraulic oil or grease sneaking on my work clothes is the only thing that worries me.
First attempt at light, this was the day I sold the car Second attempt, went much better but is still a PITA This one somehow survived near perfectly for 150k miles before I got it Stupid amount of burl wood that runs front to back Back to mostly black interiors for me though, much easier to daily and when I'm working I just bring other clothes or a work car on a day I know a lot of oils etc will be involved I'm building a new shop though and it will have a shower etc so I'll be able to drive my nice cars constantly going forward.
