I usually am blasting it. Especially in the SL, which is a pity because the engine and exhaust are beautiful music to my ears and you don't need a radio to hear good sounds lol.

I wonder if the LC stereo is good or just overhyped like many car audio systems are.

I wouldn't be shocked if I like the Bose better in the Merc.
Depends, at home 78-85db with occasional 95+

In car around 70 with sometimes 90 when I'm blasting free bird at 180+

I actually preferred the Bose in my old G37. The ML in my IS 500 has never sounded quite right to me, just slightly "off". It's still good overall though.

I can understand that. I've always like Bose.

You'd think after complaints on the ML system across the models, they would've fixed whatever the issues were.

Did you ever try to go back to the dealership and let them know something was "off" with your ML?

Nah I've never taken it to the dealer for that. I've played around with the settings but ultimately the way it came from the factory sounded best to me. I think I was expecting the ML to be great and it's just good. Like a 7.5 out of 10.

to ME, the ml in the LC is too 'front' loaded, even if you mess with fore/aft balance. plus the sound quality (again, to ME) depends a lot not only on the source, but on how good the original recording was. not great recordings, definitely not great reproduction, which makes sense but it seemed worse than on other systems i've had. with GREAT audio (high quality streaming of a high quality production track over carplay for example), it could sound GREAT. anyway, that was my experience.

ha... well the LC sound will BLOW AWAY your mercedes. and the cool thing is the car engine sound is quiet when cruising. there's more road/wind noise than i would have expected but i attribute that to no laminated/double-pane windows (which heck, my hyundai santa fe had), and run flat tires.

also, i hope you do check out getting in/out of the LC because with your back it might be challenging.

Sounds like you are describing a high accurate type of system, makes sense why you didn't like it as that style tends not to embellish or hide issues with the source

That was my take as well. The description sounds like my headphone rig, which is incredibly intolerant of poor recording/mixing/mastering quality. But give it some well-produced source material and holy **** does it sing!

Are you talking 180 MPH? On a public road? If so, you've GOT to be kidding.
