Wow.
UGH.
Sorry this happened to your bike!!
some not all.
i had the lc500 5 years and did ppf and ceramic, and would likely never do it again unless i knew i lived in an area with tons of rock chips, etc.
sure, but of course when i bought the lc500 i expected i'd keep it longer, plus when you BUY you want to work to preserve resale value. with a lease, the price is basically baked in except for mileage unless a car is trashed it's not going to make much difference.
ppf/ceramic brought me no enjoyment at all. it just cost a lot. also, i don't live in a big city so finding a place i felt comfortable to do the lc wasn't easy. i had to stay a few nights at a hotel near jacksonville. i thought it would. yes it was very slightly easier to wash the car, but with a foam cannon i don't find any car difficult now.
you do you. the lc500 cost me about $22,000 for five years plus the ppf/ceramic.
not everyone's the same and my cars aren't 'filthy' and 'nasty' but i'm not ocd like you with all your potions and tools, lol
sure, me too, but i'm not fertilizing the grass, putting in new windows, insulating the house, etc., if i rent, lol.
no idea why you think my monday may not have been going too well.
thats awful! hope the cops can use the security video and catch them.
Thats on another level, but think about it. Most people don't keep their cars more than 3-5 years. If I remember correctly you didn't do PPF but you did a ceramic coating right? How long did you have the LC? 4 years?
Leasing vs buying really isn't any different IMO, you're just financing the car with a balloon payment at the end.
The PPF improves my enjoyment of the car for the time I have it because I don't have to deal with or worry about rock chips, and the ceramic coating improves the looks and ease of cleaning the paint.
I'm paying $72,000 to drive the car for 3 years and change, thats a lot of money and I want to get my money's worth.
It diminishes someone's enjoyment of having a nice car. Having it be filthy and look terrible and be dirty and nasty inside. Why spend all of that money to drive a car for 3 years and not take simple steps to have it look nice and be enjoyable to be in and around?
Even if I were renting a house I'm going to mow the grass and keep it tidy and clean.

I guess insurance should take care of the bike, but I am heart broken. So many memories with this bike, trips, track days, so many new people met. I can't even think straight right now.
hardly ‘unbelievable’ in nyc. these were pros apparently.
one would have to have a private locked garage to have a chance at not having this happen.
definitely. totally sucks, plus the fact that they will get away with it.

So violating, the feeling.
One day you people will learn to listen to me!
But people do both.

I also do trade out of my leased cars vs turn them in so the condition does come back to me somewhat in terms of resale. There also always is the possibility I may keep one of my leased cars.

Total is $172k going through all my cars and parts/tires/etc I have gotten for them, I am not counting anything I owned short term like the Jag etc. Only cars I have/will keep indefinitely, literally saved no money vs leasing new like I was lol!
