My brother has 3 little ones. He loves his Honda Odyssey. I drove it recently and it's damn good!

I'm surprised no one has made an EV minivan yet.

I think the ID.Buzz is about the closest. A little extra range and a more realistic price and we may well have bought one.

Oh yea that's right. I totally forgot about the Buzz.

VW actually has a few things I like at the moment but man they are struggling badly.

ID.Buzz w/ 350 miles of range @ $60K and I would've traded in the Ody

Lol minivans.... I was a wild child and used to steal the van all the time in 8th grade. My parents never had a clue until my older sister (by a decade) told them to start hiding the keys, she didn't narc me out but said start watching the keys.

Everyone at school (in 8th grade lol) thought I was full of ****, so I'd just quietly be like "okay" and then show up at their house the next weekend at 4AM to prove them wrong. Lol.

Before y'all think I'm some white trash thief who got no discipline growing up, hear me out.

My parents house is big, 4000 sq feet and their bedroom is on the exact opposite of the garage and the house is basically a big rectangle, the floorpan. The two couldn't be further away. I'd pull the garage off the track sometime the night before then wait, roll it out, and wait for a car to go up the hill (providing the noise) passing by our house to start the van. Was I a calculating little snot or what? Looking back, I could have just started it and left normally and even opened and close the garage, they'd never have known.

I can't believvvvvvvve I did that looking back. I was fine at driving and was careful but I could have still had an accident, not to mention police etc etc. or if someone hit me. But back then 30 years ago Knoxville was a ghost town late at night.

All in the Silhouette lol.

It looked exactly like this, except it had a 3800 badge on it. The thing was fast!

For 1994 and a minivan it was quite quick. Obviously, fast is relative. 3800s had great torque though. And the car before it was a 102hp Galant for 3-4 years. So imagine the difference.

FWIW it would lay rubber with just a stab of the throttle, not even floored. None of my cars do that except the Mercedes lol.

And yeah I sorta was, lol. I was wild for sure. It is ballsy to steal parents' cars in 8th grade lol.

If I'm not careful with the gas on the Ody, it'll chirp the front wheels. Might not get the MPG of the Sienna, but the old V6 in there still has a little bit of fun despite the form factor

J35 has been such a great engine. Bulletproof, solid power, and (when appropriately exhausted) sounds great too. Getting a little long in tooth nowadays, but it's stayed relevant this long precisely because it's so excellent.

Man oh man, I got ripped to shreds voicing my opinion on minivans. I have never cared for them and did NOT want to be "that 'soccer' mom" that hauled their kids around in one, so we chose to get a 3rd-row SUV instead. Again, that was strictly IMO, but it "off-ended" one member so personally, it went next level. I made sure to say all the "you do you" and "to each their own", But it didn't matter. I hope the same doesn't happen for you, but it prob won't...

It's not just kids, there is so much other stuff that requires a large cargo area. I am lucky enough to have two work vans that I can use when needed, otherwise I'd probably own a personal van.

Yes, understood. We have a Tundra with a cover for larger items, or w/o cover if needed.

I assumed when you said "everyone hates minivans", that included yourself.

Guess I misread and misspoke. Carry on...
