interesting (thought you'd use car washes less given your detailing hobby)... i find with the foam gun it doesn't take long and car washes just don't remove florida bug splats.

I do it from time to time for fun, but the bulk of washing gets done at the carwash. I then bring the car home and wipe it down with a quick detailer and do the inside and the wheels etc. Especially the Pacifica that time I washed it right after I got the pressure washer was the first time I have ever hand washed any of our minivans.
Even before you hand wash. Spray the bugs with this, let it dwell for 5 minutes or so, then foam then wash. I spray this on the front end after a trip while I am in line at the carwash and the wash removes all the bugs.
The Typhoon and Syclone were so cool! They are ultra rare sightings these days.
That Typhoon you took a pic of looks to be in great shape. I think they had a 4.3L supercharged V6 which was very quick in the early 90's.
Turbocharged, but otherwise exactly right. Chevrolet was very much the boss of all of GM at that time, and killed the Syclone/Typhoon because they were quicker than the Corvette.
Friend of mine back in the day had a very lightly modified Syclone. Launching in that thing was insane. His would run 13.1 all night long at the drag strip, which is just absurdly fast for a pickup truck 35 years ago. Only about a half-second slower than a 700+ hp TRX.
Ahh that's right turbo'd. I was 10 or 11 when these were out and I loved them as a kid. 13 second quarter miles in 1990-91 were insanely impressive for that time.
