Well I was inspired by Striker to go to Taco Bell last night and I ended up spending over $1,000 there.
The drive thru is so tight it’s like you have to make the turn just right to not scrape the front bumper on a curb or curb the wheel.
Well I didn’t make the turn and curbed my drivers rear wheel. The wheel itself isn’t too expensive at $850 but shipping is $250 since it can’t be shipped sea freight like when you buy four. That is the most I’ve spent on fast food. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy my food much.
This is a bummer. Condolences. My brother has been in the wheel business for ages. Most curb rash happens in drive thrus or parking garages. I just avoid drive thrus. I know I would eventually curb a wheel. In parking garages, I take it easy at the exits but they are usually wider than drive thru lanes.
That type of service is amazing, only paid for it a few times myself but it's damn nice on trips to major areas to not have to worry about bags.
Way cheaper overseas as well, just don't leave anything expensive in the bags in some places
And with Disney it was free! Also when you checked out you gave your bags to the hotel and didn't see them again until you got to your home airport. We would check out, drop the bags and go to the parks and come back when it was time to get on the bus and never had to think about our luggage.
Now with the car we just load up the car and head to a park until its time to go to the airport.

My most hated thing about shooting trips is moving the ammo cans and gun cases, if I could somehow just snap fingers and make things appear like that it would be amazing. If we take a nice car (we almost always do) it's even worse because I have to cover everything and I am always feeling the extra weight in the car, the next trip is out to Texas an I am hoping to take the new XC90 or preferably we take a sprinter van for the group. Issue is that would mean 9 of us would have to share the van or rental cars down there
Trips that don't involve shooting would still be awesome with a service like that, not having to think about small stuff when away from home is such a worth it upgrade IMO. The only things I directly manage on trips like that are my carry gun and phone lol!
Mears is who operated the Magical Express too. The service Mears runs now isn't the same because they don't handle your luggage, its basically just an airport transfer bus like it was before the Magical Express was a thing. Great thing about the ME was you drop your bags at the terminal when you fly out and never touch them again and they just arrived inside your room.
Which is especially clutch for Orlando, because baggage handling at MCO is consistently the slowest of any airport I've ever been to.
I put one on my driver's rear. The drive through was wide open but where they had the window the curve was too curved and I didn't expect it.

This time somehow they got me to spend on the wheel/tire package. So I got it done for "free". I was curious what it would cost me to fix it. The SA showed me the bill. $150/each. Lol. This was a few years back but I think it's still around this and you could have someone come to you and do it at your place. I'm not sure why he would want to replace it for this. The wheel/tire package deal turned out to be not a bad deal. I somehow managed to curb two more times and also got a tire replaced because of a nail.
I'm lucky enought to know a guy that owns a wheel refinishing place in my town. The problem with all of the wheels I own now are they are all a brushed dark tint finish, it's not painted like a normal finish so it is impossible to match between the color and the brush marks and with my OCD I would notice it every time I looked at it, especially when the sun hits it. I may take it to him to see how close he can get but I will likely just buy a new wheel.
I must have overlooked your post. I can certainly relate. I went out of my way to give my car to this high end shop to fix my bumper. It turned out they were not high end at all. They gave two more attempts but still couldn’t please my eyes in one corner. They asked me to give them one more chance. Thinking about driving across town to drop off, not having the car for a few days… I just gave up and stopped looking at that corner. Should’ve just taken to the dealership as usual. Maybe you just need to not wash your car as often or look at that wheel.
On an unrelated note… your wanting to replace the wheel reminds me a post on GX social media… someone posted asking what people do to be able to afford this vehicle. So many say most owners are not financially smart. One particular one said… “for sure they are not CPA/FP.” Lol

I am going to give the local shop I know who is the best around a shot at it but I know that I’ll notice the lack of brush marks when the sun hits it but it will hold me over until I get a new one.
I happen to be a CPA and I know all of my car habits is money down the toilet but what I spend on cars is immaterial to what I make in a year.
Part of the reason I drive used now is because when I got into learning how the whole money thing works I stopped buying new, I just couldn't justify the "waste" personally. The other part is because the stuff I have a taste for now is WAY worse by the numbers to buy and I do not like leasing stuff like that/I rather long term own stuff.
Hell, my newest SUV is going to cost me $2200 up front overall and I am planning to get 10 years out of it because I am a cheap@$$ with work tools. I target lowest actual cost of ownership for tools and for hand tools that's snap-on because I don't lose a cent buying them at the prices I can and using them for 5-10 years. I have yet to sell a car for less than I paid for it as well because TCO figures must be keep good lol!
It’s funny because certain things I am cheap about like gas and getting groceries on sale which makes no sense because I don’t save a ton but then I will buy expensive cars and watches. Makes no sense at all but I’m weird like that.
The other thing is the firm I work for makes me contribute $100k a year to my retirement so it’s not like I don’t save money.
gorgeous Rolls-Royce today. Really like white all of sudden
white have always worked well with the Corniche/convertibles for me, been that way for me for decades whenever I was day dreaming of having one since I was a teen, white would be my first choice, never for any RR sedans though ...

I'm a CPA and I'll say that the majority of cars in our office parking lot are generally sensible mainstream cars. Lots of Accords/Camry's/RAV4/etc. we even have a partner who drives an early 2000's Corolla.
I myself prefer to buy used to save money, though I could buy a new M car if I wanted. We do have some people who choose to spend more on their vehicle. Some nice 4Runners, F150's, a couple new Lexus ES's, a few X5"s, and one Lucid Air.
There's definitely a stereotype about us born in reality.
Oh and you'll have the new staff who almost immediately go out and buy an entry level German luxury car long before they make enough money for it to be advisable.
