I finally bought a replacement for my work jeep, same exact price, same issues, same engine config lol!
Only very minor damage from a bumper level crash at some point Only major issue is the interior color, I hate light interiors for the most past and this one is quite badly worn 3.2 straight 6, blown headgasket so I'll throw a replacement in. They are stunningly cheap at $350-400 so it's not even worth my time to take the head off
$750 OTD at a dealer, 127k miles. It should provide me with 10 years and 300k miles like the Jeep did, and it crashes far better so my primary concern is finally gone.
Has a set of 2023 dated matching Goodyears and no rim damage or any dents etc, a quick 2 stage polish should bring it right back up to nice looking. Drives nicely as well
Is that a FWD straight 6? What kind of satanic magic did they have to do?

"AWD" Haldex driveline with an Aisin trans by Yamaha pointed sideways, black magic includes all accessories being rear mounted and in top of a trans or tucked under the intake. The satanic magic consists of a gear of engine GEAR driven oil pump and primary belt drive pulley that then uses a short chain drive for the cams......
Basically you took the Audi rear drive system and made it more complex and now requiring belt service etc on top of gears and chain.
Engine itself is ultra reliable and CHEAP to own, I have no idea how this one blew a headgasket but replacements are $400ish so it's not even worth my time to repair the one in car. Power figures are okay, 235/235 with TQ being mostly flat and peaking at 3200. Totally fine to move car down road, the 6 speed trans makes it feel a hell of a lot better than my Jeeps old 4 speed
I specifically wanted the I-6 to avoid timing belts, V8 insane parts costs, and to keep the engine bay open

My first car was a 2007 XC90 with 130,000 miles in willow green with that 3.2 engine and FWD. It had that exact same beige interior too.
Mine also had Goodyears on it. My dad being a Michelin fan had them replaced with Michelins in short order.
Really? In that case it did. Know many lawyers who make house calls? Bc he did. He was an estate attorney and when clients were sick he would literally make house calls.
Please don't generalize when I'm talking about my long gone Grandfather. The man was the epitome of an honest and decent and law abiding person.
i think you misread or misinterpreted what i wrote. i didn't generalize, and i wasn't referring to your grandfather.
let's look back - you wrote:

my point was that not ALL lawyers are law abiding, that's all. i absolutely take your word that your grandfather was a good honest person and i meant no disrespect at all.

Can your Hyundai average 100mph over 120 miles without stopping?
stirring it up again?
let's look at what came before, you wrote (to frank):

meaning i didn't expect him to have to stop at all, you know, a positive comment about his car. so why do you have to respond as you did by bring up my EV which is completely irrelevant?
Love this mini series. Matt Rimac as Bugatti boss was the absolute treat, the noises the Bugatti makes is an absolute joy plus his personal support for Singer. Singer old school analog banshee scream was amazing, and the CC850 is magic as usual. The Nevara R is absolute beast, and can really do everything minus the noise signature.
Its exciting to see bosses not hide in the shadows, and share the passions amongst others unlike say Ferrari.
Think of all the people they bust with shyt loads of drugs just from a car with a bad license plate light. Happens constantly.
I agree there are more important things for cops to focus on, you’re not wrong. But I drive around content knowing there’s no reason in the world a cop could pull me over unless I’m breaking the law. If it’s BS the judge will see that and throw it out.
Cops have to have a reason to even talk to you other than casually in this country.
I'm not talking about cops using a reason to check you out when they are doing so in an effort to keep people safe. I'm talking about cops stopping you specifically to write you a ticket in an excercise of their own ego.
A good cop who stopped you for a burned out light or something like that just to check out and make sure you're not doing something dangerous won't actually write you a ticket once they let you go. This has happened to me, they so clearly just wanted to check me out and when they realized I was cool they just let me go.

I don't think he meant your grandfather specifically, but lawyers in general. There are plenty of lawyers who are terrible people, the idea that someone would be law abiding just because they are a lawyer doesn't hold water. Remember, most politicians are lawyers lol
