I'll have to check the gears they have, I'm not certain

Highway rating is 23, I bet they get close to that or a little better if they aren't really heavy footed on the highway.

EDIT, just saw your text...yep about what I expected. The real fuel economy difference between that and a V8 GM SUV is going to be in around town driving, the EcoBoost is going to be significantly better there unless the driver is really ragging it out.

Also, can Expeditions be put into RWD only?

I just accidentally reset it but I got a solid 24mpg from Columbus to Cleveland, floored it a few times and there was some traffic..

And yes you can put an Expedition in 2wd unless they changed something. Remember they come standard with 2wd, they’re not like an LX which is FT4WD only.

We have our resident IS500 owner here and I appreciate the feedback. I am months away because I have some moving parts to sort through. The AE86 is murdering me in storage expenses and when I resolve that, I can have some fun. I thought briefly about another IS350. The reality is it is not what I want. I would care about the dated technology in a 350. In a 500, I won’t care. They hold value which is not great as a buyer, but as an owner, it’s a plus.

Plenty of cars are faster but that’s not important to me.

Add a super to a 500 and it's legit quick! Keeps the wonderful sound as well

What's your glove of choice? I can't do the gloves. Always feels like I'm not getting a good grip on things.

Depends on what I am doing, my standard ones are medium sized latex from Astro. I have them sized tight but not to the point it causes pain or circulation issues, they are 7mil thick and when sized tight you still get good feedback. If I flex my hand incorrectly though it will tear the backside if don't have my fingers fully seated in the glove.

https://www.sassafety.com/Product/as...ption=66472-40

My other option are extremely thin 1mil latex gloves, I use these when I need max dexterity or am working on the interior of a high end car and do not want to contact anything. I will also pull a glove off to feel a surface of something like a cam journal

If I need heavy protection I slice a mechanix glove overtop the 7mil

Agree, it surprised me...

Lol I was bitching this morning about paying for premium haha. (not really)

LX we have to stop twice for gas. Though you can get a solid 20MPG out of it which is decent, it's rated 17 which is BS. Yukon is rated 19 which is obviously BS.

I have more pics and an illustration of how the cylinder deactivation must work (I assume). I found a screen in the menu I've never seen that's kind of neat. I'll post it tomorrow.. I'm wiped.

That is the best road trip vehicle on earth other than maybe your car.

Great to hear! Does your GMC have any form of auto drive?

When I picked my up most recent car from Nashville I was already awake for 12 hours before leaving to get it, having a car just drive itself for the most part on the way back was a really nice break.

I think if you settled for a 350 you'd be unhappy. Have you test driven an IS 500 yet? Production of these ends in November but you have plenty of time. Are you going brand new or lightly used?

RR Racing is only a couple miles from where I work. I know they've SC'd some RC F's to 700 rwhp. I think the widest we can fit out back is 275. I'm not looking to add any more power...yet. Stock handling on these is kinda sloppy. I def need to tighten that up first.
