Eww.....

As I said, I'm taking the GMC up to NY this time bc it's summer and no salt etc etc blah blah....

There's no built in cooler that blows freezing cold air like in the LX570!!!

That cooler is GREAT for road trips.

I've been getting alternating letters from the Nevada DMV notifying me of impending suspension of my registrations because my vehicles are supposedly not insured.

What the hell is this? I have maintained consistent coverage for years. My insurer is denying that they have failed to report my policy to the state database, they also say my prior insurer(i switched in early July) reported my old policy cancelled a day earlier than the set cancellation, causing a 1 day lapse in coverage which has destroyed my 20 year record of uninterrupted coverage, so there goes those discounts.

I'm livid. So far I've managed to get the state to admit that my truck is insured, but no dice yet on the BMW, so it sits in the garage for now.

I wonder if a Hurricane GW or Ecoboost Navi would deliver mpg like this on the highway… I doubt it honestly. V8s just loaf at these speeds, turbo engines would be into the boost. I’ve gone about 250 miles at 70-75 MPH. Hilly.

That’s Knoxville to Columbus, the halfway point. The math checks out within a mpg, I’m hand calculating too. This is sorta crazy.

Just steady highway driving, no doubt they would deliver that mileage. Where turbocharged engines don't deliver on mileage is when you're spooling the turbos up a lot.

GM's gas mileage always amazes me on their V8's. I know Corvette guys that could get 28 highway.

I remember when I traded in my G35 for my G37 wayback. A couple days after the transaction I got a notice from the DMV of a notice of registration suspension. I was like WTF!?

The DMV also thought I lapsed on coverage for whatever reason. I had to fax a bunch of crap to Harrisburg to prove I didn't have a lapse in my coverage. I was with Esurance (Allstate) at the time and it was easy for me to prove I never went without coverage. I returned to the Infiniti dealer to find out if they messed something up on their end. All I remember them telling me was that the DMV/Harrisburg was all screwed up and that it was happening to a lot of people. Sure enough the local news ran a story about a week later saying exactly that.

It was my first taste of incompetent state government screw ups. Hopefully you can prove that your prior insurer accidentally cancelled on you a day earlier than you requested. I wish you the best of luck.

Being able to put it in RWD also helps a lot with highway economy. I always did the same thing with the Explorer and the Jeep.

LOL my F-150 does like 17-18 on the freeway. Can maybe do 20-21 on 2-lane backroads.

But then again it does have heavy A/T tires on it and the air dam removed.

I imagine if I was stuck somewhere going 55 but also not being interrupted by people entering/exiting the highway, i'd be around 23-24.

Yes. My cousin rented a GW last summer and drove it from MN to LA got similar mpg as well as my other cousin who followed him in his X7.

In an Expedition? I find that very hard to believe.
