Those aren’t monks. Those are Thai mimes. Die Hard rules apply.

Oro is correct. True Thai monks wear bright yellow-orange robes.

Most likely, yes. It would be like asking a Chevy Technician to work on a Mercedes.

I would think it would be hard.
If someone specializes in Chevys and they've done the same repairs over and over, they can make money at it.

Switch to a different brand like Mercedes or other brand and do something hard like a timing chain, he's looking at a world of hurt. Lol

Until they're thru the learning curve and probably break some stuff along the way. Lol

Me personally, I don't like to pay for someone to learn how to work on my car at my expense. 😃

That's why on my Mercedes and Bmw I went to an euro import specialist.

we have one, also white. it’s been great. so quiet and smooth. ours is a base rwd model (on 19s) and so gets better range (roughly 20% more) than my ioniq 5 with 20’s and awd.

I have been so amazed at the handling of the ES Ultra Luxury model with the Yamaha lateral dampers installed, I have made a decision to try to fit them to the 3rd gen GS.
very cool. my lc500 has the dynamic handling package which means it includes 1 (rear) yamaha performance damper. i don’t think there’s room to put one up front.

Paint kinda reminds me of my old Z1R.

Pic taken at Charlotte Motor Speedway about 30+ years ago by a passerby. Asked if I wanted him to send me a copy.

Question for the experts. I’m going to get some touch up paint in a can from one of these places. They also package it with clearcoat. Is this any different than clear I can get from Home Depot?

I graduated top in my class for all matters relating to touch up paint!

Ah, who am I kidding.
I tried to touch up some nicks on my hood, barely passable. Lol

What are your trying to do? Spray color + clear, like from Automotivetouchup.com, is hard to use if you don’t know what you are doing. And yes, the clear needs to be carefully matched to the base paint chemistry or you risk big problems of bubbling and/or re-catalyzing the color when the clear goes on. In the pic below, I did not mix up any two-stage paint for this simple job. But I used Rustoleum Automotive primer/color/clear so I knew there would be no chemical mis-match. Also, depending upon your substrate/what you are spraying, you need to know how to choose etching primer vs. build primer vs. adhesion promoter.

I just refinished one of my wheels this weekend after curbing it last week; now I’ll take it for mounting w/a new tire. Filing on it, Bondo, sanding, primering, color, clear, cure, final polish and blend. Ask away (not the first paint project I have done - just being topical/recent). Those 4Runner wheels in the back are my next project, a complete refinish and spray. Then I am doing the front bumper on my GS late this month or early September. The tires in the yellow bags, are for my winter GS wheels, which are an old IS set, that I have to refinish by October. So I do a fair bit of painting regularly.

That is classic. My brother has a nicely restored KZ1100, my dad has an XS Eleven almost as nice. I had a CB1000C but was stolen a bit ago, only got BMW bikes now. I love that era of big UJM standards.
