My brother tows a lot. He says the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost is better at towing than the 5.0L Coyote in his F-150. I wouldn't have thought that but I've never towed anything in my life.
You picked a good week to go to the beach. The weather has been great lately.

When I was in the market for a new pickup, the 2.7 Egoboost had just come out.
While it worked for towing in the sense of power, the mpg reported by actual use (i.e. owners, not Ford) was terrible. I test drove one and it was fun to drive, but felt like a tuna can (I could only afford one of the lowest trim levels).
MPG while towing anything remotely unaerodynamic or with any weight to it is always terrible. Look at Bayeaux's posts above for evidence. Manufacturer MPG estimates are always going to be significantly higher than real-world towing MPG in any truck. The EPA's MPG estimates don't assume any towing.

.
The Ecoboost make peak torque at lower RPM.
Like I’ve stated numerous times the 3rd gen tundra V6 TT tows better than my V8. Or should I say tows faster. Inside the 3rd gen truck, it doesn’t appear (looking at RPM) the truck is working hard, but I’m sure those turbos are working its tail off!!
So just now my friend (F250 owner) and I were discussing another buddy looking for a tow rig/daily to tow his track car on U-Haul trailers. I initially sent a GX 470 for sale. Look how the conversation unfolds. F250 owner used to tow with his old LX.
Edit: he added this
“I do agree with going straight to 3/4 tons. It’s a night and day difference between that and 1/2 tons.” In which I responded I remember him saying his 3/4 Duramax rode like crap compared to his 6.2 Sierra 1/2 ton. He followed that with “The GMC rode like **** because it’s GM. The Ford actually rides really nice.”
With that being said, I’ll buy a 3rd gen Tundra before I depend on a 3/4 diesel. That’s just my opinion personally.

I'm not crazy about the Denali's A/C. It's sort of hard to explain.
The actual air isn't cold enough when it's on 72ish, to get the cold COLLLLD air you have to turn it down lower and/or take it out of Auto. On 72 degrees the air coming out of the vents is freezing (when it's hot outside) on all the other cars. Yesterday the Mercedes was blowing so cold condensation was on and around the vents, lol. 23 year old car. Not surprised at all.
Don't get me wrong---the legendary GM a/c power and ability is there, but I don't have to do this on any other of the cars. I took it to the dealer twice, no codes no leaks and everything's full.
It will freeze you to death and the fan speed is ridiculous but it's different than the other cars, the way you have to set it. It's not a big deal or anything but it did make me take it to the dealer to see if anything was wrong.
Since we are on A/C, I am disappointed with the LX. The fan speed is 1/3 the strength of the GMC and Merc. It gets the job done but frankly for such an overbuilt vehicle the A/C is weak.

‘perhaps you have a leak? Or need to the service the AC?

On the LX we used climate concierge and it set the AC on all 3 levels including turning on the seat coolers although we left it on auto.
72 degrees? I would think that’s a little warm. In the car I put it on LO LO LO LO LO LO LO LO!! 🤣🤣
