It's not relevant. The niche "hustling" version is literally the only model that Cadillac does better than competitors. The run-of-the-mill Cadillac sedan has been mediocre, at best, when compared to its competitors, for 40+ years. If they made a best in class car as the base model, things would be different. They don't.
I just watched an episode of Motorweek and they tested the CT5-Blackwing. They referred to it (twice) as a "world class sport sedan". It's more than a one trick pony track car.
There is 0 truth to someone I don't even know telling me how much chrome I need in my life. YMMV
Well, with all due respect (and I'm not trying to be rude)...maybe he's giving you a hint: if you don't want to get comments like that, then don't make similar ones to others.

Not "trying" to be rude, but still succeeding-- @Margate330 and I were having a nice discussion about chrome; I don't recall asking you to mediate. But please point out where I told someone else what kind of car they should like and buy????

You've made some comments about Buick drivers...including me. And Buicks, of course, are known for having more-than-average chrome. Anyhow, I'm not going to spend all day on this. Just chalk it up as some constructive criticism, and move on.
Anyhow, back to Cadillac and the thread-topic, Road and Track has some more information on the subject. They, of course, are enthusiast-fans of the Blackwing versions, so it is written somewhat from their perspective.

And if you made generic comments about BMW drivers, I'd have no problem with it. I can have stereotypical beliefs, just as you do.
But you commented on what YOU believe *I* would benefit from (having more chrome). Show me where I've done that.
