Yes, that is often true, but, as I see it, it doesn't hide the fact that too many tires (and, particularly, too many OEM's) get too noisy, too quick. With good alignment, one should not HAVE to replace an otherwise good set of tires, with thousands of miles of tread left still on them, just because they are growling over coarse pavement at only 15,000 or 20,000 miles.

What brand of tires are on your Buick Encore GX? My guess continental?
If you take the time to do a lot of research before you buy tires you won’t have issues with them getting loud.
I completely agree. Personally speaking, I find tires with shorter tread wear ratings as better riding and more enjoyable than tires that are all about the tread wear and long lasting wear

1) Price of entry six figures
2) Lower cargo volume with that crazy battery eating up tons of room. Cant slide 2nd row seats forward or back, and third row power seats are slow (look at the model y)
3) 18 gallon fuel tank
4) no camping mode
5) brings back a starter alternator for backup?
In other news, LS cancelled in UK, and Lexus makes a special LX600 one off for surfers.
At this point I'm more excited for Tesla as a company then Lexus.

I don’t know. I did lots of research before I bought my Continentals, all the reviews said they were quiet. They got pretty loud early on in their tread life and remained loud till the end. Particularly on course surfaces.
I realize that all tires get louder as they wear down. But I’m hoping that these Yokohamas stay quiet for a long time.

I ditched my OEM tires at 10k miles. I could have got another 10k out of them if I lived in Florida but that recent cold blast would have been way too dangerous.
