When dumb phones became so scarce compared to smartphones and “FREE” smartphones, people eventually gravitated to smartphones. Then you have those who cut their home ISP so they solely rely on their smartphones to access the internet. I know someone like this.
Because gas is $6/gallon there lol. It’s little over $2/gallon here.
I can’t think of anyone in my family or my in laws who even own a hybrid yet alone an EV. The adaption to EVs in some places like Texas/ Louisiana is at a very slow pace (IMO) especially when the oil/gas industry feeds your family.
Guy lives down the road from me has a welding machine on bed of his truck. I believe he used to work offshore but now he fires that dually up every morning before the sun breaks to go make a living. No EV to be found in midst of other vehicles parked at his house. Another guy lives in other direction works for an energy company as he drives his company supplied F150 home.
There's going to be areas of the country that are slow to adopt, or may never adopt EVs. And there are areas of the country like the United States of California (🤣 ) that will go almost 100 percent EV. That's fine with me. I have no issues with that. People should drive what they want, that's my philosophy
Sure we can discuss it along with your expertise personal experiences with PHEVs. Still waiting⌛️
How’s your personal fleet of gas ⛽️ vehicles holding up?

Guess it depends on part of Texas but very evident in Louisiana for sure!!

Thank you very much 👍. As mentioned by Mike and Bit, Texas is number two in the country for EV adoption. There are rural parts of California that are literally no different than rural parts of Texas and you won't see a single EV, lots of double dualies, and cowboy hats. Also as mentioned, they will get cheaper, and as infrastructure expands adoption will grow. That's my opinion
I think the issue on the east coast is space, we dont have a ton of undeveloped space next to exits on major travel routes. Out in CA you still have a lot of just big open space you drive through.
I don't want to just sit in the car while it charges really, I've been sitting driving and I'd like to get up and go in somewhere and grab something to eat etc.

My third trip in the Model 3, and I just don't have enough praise for this car. I've driven many, many cars in my over 40 years of driving, and this has to be one of the most balanced I've ever driven, from performance, handling, road feel, comfort, braking and suspension. Keeping in mind this car is an appliance. I did about 900 miles, and averaging about 80 mph in about 80 F, I did a total of two stops...one each way, 20 minutes each. There are of course other cars I "desire", but as an all around daily commuter/trip car, this is the best I've ever owned.
it's a great car!!!! i just wanted the Y for interior room and easier getting in and out, but they're both really great and an unbelievable steal.
i do wish they had a HUD or screen behind steering wheel so i don't have to keep looking over to the main screen, but when the car's driving itself, who cares, which i think is Elon Musk's point, lol

The Y is 100 percent better when traveling with family for sure due to the extra room and cargo space. Model 3 has tighter cabin, and because it's lower to the ground visibility is not as good.
Never had a HUD in any car I've own so don't miss that. Don't miss having a speedometer...but that's just me
