Default 2025 Ford Expedition Debuts: Everything You Need to Know

Hey, guys! I didn't get a chance to see this one in person, but based on press release, tech specs, and a few product images, I put together a guide of all the important information about the 2025 Ford Expedition, which officially debuted about 6 mins ago. XL, XLT, Timberline, and Limited models are gone. Active and Tremor have joined the 2025 Ford Expedition family along with King Ranch, Platinum, two massive screens, integrated Google apps, available 440 hp engine, 9,600 lbs towing, and up to 24-inch wheels on what I think is called the Platinum Ultimate grade!

Curious to know what everyone thinks about the new screen layout. It's got a bit of a Tesla meets Lexus vibe.

Also, Ford pulled out a previous generation Land Cruiser/LX 570 and added a Split Gate out back.

I honestly love the split gate after having one on a longer term customer car, it's just so much easier to use and you never have anything fall out.

Just embrace the LORG AND IN CHORG new ford! It's bigger than other stuff so it's totally better!

That interior design is terrible

I like the rear tailgate. A strange edition,

Nice array of options and tech. And yeah that spilt tail-gate is a win for sure. I like the trim with the meaty tires.

Looks good on the outside. Just judging from the images alone (without feeling the actual materials), not a fan of the interior. GM and Stellantis, lately, have been doing much better interiors than Ford. So has its own sister Lincoln Division, but, of course, you will pay more for a Lincoln.

I don’t like the refresh navigator either. I don’t like the small steering wheel and the big screen up by the windshield.

I came in here to say that the Expedition is clean and attractive and certainly a very capable and nice truck, but they're just not as good as the GMs overall.

However this interior, I don't even know what to say.

The outside looks...modern I guess.

Also don't care for the new Navi much either.

Exterior looks reasonable but that dash looks cheap.

Strange new interior and dash. Don't like the Prius look.
And why copy GMC's DRL design, with so many other possible ways to go?

Dash to me has an econo-car vibe. Do wish, however, more SUV's would do the split tailgate, even as an option.

I prefer Ford as a brand but I would unquestionably choose the GM full sized SUVs.
