They wouldn’t need to actually use a warrant most likely, but yes you’re right.
However If police needed my doorbell footage for some alleged crime I would give it to them.
In other news, I really hate the new Land Cruiser.
4 cylinder hybrid, 0-60 in 8 plus seconds! What a jokkkkkkkkke. And yes I will die on this hill, in 2024 there aren’t even words for how unacceptable that is.
I have no problem giving the police footage of a crime, all they have to do is ask.
Remember what I told you? That's the future of ICE, downsized, bastardized four cylinders. Add a turbo and a hybrid drivetrain, and you have an underperforming, underwhelming... you know what. Which is why I've hedged my bets elsewhere

Lol of course I remember. It was nothing I didn’t know, lol.
An absolutely bulletproof 381 horsepower 5.7L or the mess under the hood of this that’s a dog compared to it. A 200 would leave this thing truck lengths behind.
To be fair it’s not all their fault. Regs regs regs. They’ll be rolled back. Bigger engines will be back. V8s included, already happening. This isn’t the powertrain that Toyota would have given us unchecked.
BTW the hill you are willing to die on, I hope the Highlander can make it up it 🤣
Sorry, couldn't help myself.....
hahah what Highlander? I just mean there’s no way I can bend. I don’t care about MPG and neither do most other truck owners but this isn’t getting great mileage that I’ve seen, either.
If it were slower than hell but returned 40mpg the powers that be would be happy at least.

I doubt they will ever be rolled back, they have only gotten stricter since the 70's, not loosened. I didn't even realize it was happening until 2018 when I was looking to buy an Accord Sport V6, and found out they were dropped for the 2.0L turbo. Now the Accord is a 1.5L...with a CVT LoL . BTW my Sienna was in for service a couple of weeks back, and my mechanic told me a few 11th Gen Accords have been coming in to his shop with blown head gaskets, some with as little as 15k on them. Probably from tuning. The 3.5L was bulletproof.
Emissions standards are only going to get stricter, save this page for the future. Run out and buy an M3 or M4 Comp while you can!

My friend just bought a Nori Green GX, she had to go to ATL to get it.
I’m very impressed with the color and trim she got. It’s definitely a nice truck.
Our Highlander Hybrid is great - 300+ horsepower, 28 mpg, seating for 7, and it’s paid for! But my wife looked at the new GX and loved them. All she needs to do is say the words… “I want one” and the Highlander is gone!
I LOVE the new Land Cruiser, though I’d likely select the GX550. Our friends just bought a GX550 and it’s amazing!
No new cars in our immediate future, but the LC/GX is a real test for me!
I'm just not a fan of 4 cylinders, can't do it. Last time I had a four cylinder was a rental Camry SE in 2022 when my Polestar was having a part changed, due to the parts shortages back then it was a 6 week wait, and it was not very pleasant driving that car. Just can't do four cylinders, call me spoiled

GX is much different than LC to me. It has a beefcake engine,
I just hope they get everything sorted out with the failures, I really do.
Understandable. I have been very anti-4 cylinder for years but have tried some of the new turbo ones recently and have really enjoyed them. For me, it’s just a number and as long as it performs well and is refined enough for the application, the number of cylinders is inconsequential to me. A HUGE change from my previous attitude on the matter!
Well let me backtrack a little. The exception is the Type R. Honda put a lot of engineering in that vehicle. You barely feel that its FWD, pulls all the way to 7K. But that's a special car that's over 50k. That would be the exception
